First half of the book is great, but I think the author went a little to broad in his approach making the book difficult to finish. I would have preferred this text focusing solely on the First, Second, Children’s and Third Crusades, then a second book more focused on Crusaders energy in the Baltic, Iberia, Egypt and the New World.
